A letter from the CEO

Every job should have a source.

The internet is full of job listings. Too few can answer the most basic question: where did this job come from?

A role may begin inside an employer's applicant-tracking system. From there, it can move to a company career page, a staffing agency, an aggregator, a search engine, a job board, an email campaign, and several other platforms.

At every handoff, something can be lost.

The employer closes the original role, but copies remain online. A location changes. A salary disappears. A contract position becomes labeled full-time. A posting date resets. An agency appears without explaining who it represents. An application is redirected somewhere the candidate did not expect.

Sometimes the cause is a technical delay. Sometimes it is an evergreen recruiting practice. Sometimes it is a platform optimizing for inventory. Sometimes it is a bad actor copying a legitimate employer's identity.

The result for the candidate is the same: uncertainty.

JobzMall has operated across this entire system. We have worked with job seekers, in-house recruiting teams, staffing agencies, job aggregators, applicant-tracking systems, and public career sources. We have seen how a legitimate opportunity can become detached from its origin as it moves across the internet.

We have also been questioned about jobs on our own platform.

Candidates have asked whether a listing was real, current, or authorized. They were right to ask. A company logo and a job title are not proof. If the source cannot be seen, the candidate is being asked to trust a system they cannot inspect.

We began addressing this with Live Jobs, which brings candidates closer to opportunities synchronized from official company career sources.

But showing a current job is only the beginning. Candidates should also be able to see where the job originated, how it reached JobzMall, when it was last checked, what changed along the way, where the application goes, and who will receive their information.

That is why we are launching the JobzMall Job Source Transparency Center.

For jobs on JobzMall, the center will provide a public record of:

  • The original source.
  • The path the job took to reach JobzMall.
  • The hiring organization and any agency involved.
  • The original publication date and most recent verification.
  • The current status of the authoritative source.
  • The final application destination.
  • Material differences between versions.
  • Corrections, disputes, and removals.

This is not a promise that every source will always be available or that every employer's hiring plans can be independently confirmed.

It is a promise that we will show candidates what we know, what we verified, and what remains uncertain.

Alongside the center, we are publishing the Candidate Bill of Rights, beginning with a simple principle: every candidate has the right to know the source of a job before investing time, attention, or personal information in it.

A job without a visible source is just a claim.

A job with provenance can be inspected, questioned, corrected, and trusted.

Candidate Bill of Rights

Eight rights. No fine print that voids them.

  1. 01

The right to know the source of a listing.

Every candidate has the right to know the source of a job before investing time, attention, or personal information in it.

  2. 02

The right to know when it was last verified.

A posting without a last-heard-from date is a rumor. First seen and last synced belong on the record.

  3. 03

The right to know where application information goes.

Official career page. Marketplace. ATS. You should see the destination before you send a résumé.

  4. 04

The right to understand automated recommendations.

If a machine steered you toward a role — summaries, signals, matches — that should be sayable in plain language. No hidden ranking of people.

  5. 05

The right to an accessible alternative to video.

Video-first is not video-only. A legitimate path to apply cannot depend on a camera.

  6. 06

The right to correct or delete personal information.

Your data is yours. Correction and deletion are not a favor. They are the floor.

  7. 07

The right not to pay to obtain a legitimate employment offer.

A real job does not invoice the candidate. Upfront fees are a scam signal, not a hiring process.

  8. 08

The right to report and receive a response.

A report that disappears is theater. You report. We review. You get an answer.

The label

Job Posting Nutrition Label

Every listing should wear these fields. Not in a tooltip. Not after you apply. On the posting — the same way food says what is in the box.

We are not asking candidates to trust a badge. We are showing them the source.

We believe every employment platform should do the same.
